Hilander currently has a deal if you purchase $15 in Huggies products you will receive $3 off your order instantly! I love these no up front money or a catalina that you have to remember to keep and use later. You can do this deal twice in one transaction according to the sign.

There are lots of Huggies coupons out there from recent inserts or home mailers. I will also list some printable links at the bottom of this post.

I believe most of the prices for diapers are around $8.99.

An almost free ice-pack

So something happened yesterday that now my neck/shoulder muscles are having spasms - although it feels more like my neck is broken, but I doubt it is! Anyway, after seeing the Chiropractor today and getting instructions about icing my neck & shoulders, I asked him where to get a good ice pack (my ice cubes in a bag don't work well, and I don't want to thaw my bag of frozen peas).

So here's what he said - and I tried it and it works!

Take a couple of gallon-size ziploc bags. In one of them, put one part rubbing alcohol, two parts water (I did 1 cup/2 cups). Seal that bag, then put it inside the other back (extra leakage protection!).

Apparently the more alcohol concentration there is, the softer the gel. If you want it a little more "solid" ice pack, add more water. Be sure to put "DO NOT EAT" on the bag (although why anyone who can read would eat a white gellish substance is beyond me!)

Maybe this is "old news" to some of you, but it was new to me! I sit here typing this post with a very flexible/gel-like ice pack on my neck and shoulder! Woohoo!

Free Ice Cream at WalMart

Apparently WalMarts across America are giving away free ice cream today from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Read about it here. I won't be going, so I can't check it out for you, but you can call about it if you'd like to verify that your location is participating (enter your zip code on the WalMart page).

I just wanted to let you know that even the coupon ladies (or whatever you want to call us) have bad shopping days. Yesterday was one of those days for me. I stopped at 5 stores, forgot the stuff at hom that I needed to return at the 6th store (so consequently didn't stop there), and came home with almost nothing - except a BBQ lighter that I'm going to return. Yeah, it was that kind of shopping day. I should have known better and stopped after my second store - Target - where I'm going to return the lighter. :)

Anyway, wanted to let you know that there is now a coupon for $1.50 off two Country Time Lemonade canisters on coupons.com (which wasn't there yesterday when I bought 6 canisters of it . . . the drama continues! :)

Radio savings!

I'm so mad at myself - I meant to post this last night and forgot.

Tune in to WROK 1440AM on Saturdays between 9-10 AM. They have what they call "Smart Shopper" where they offer great deals on many things - at least at a 50% discount!

Here are some of the deals Jeremy and I have gotten in the past:

$5 Jimmy John's GC (gift certificate) for $2
$12 Oil Change at Tuffy's (for a mid-grade - retails around $27)
$8 for a voucher for a 2 topping pizza, cinnamon wheel, and 2L pop from Papa Murphy's ($16 value)

Jeremy just called me (at 9:38am)- he was listening in the car on the way to work and said that they were offering an oil change at Saturn of Rockford for $5! Wow! I just called in and got it! Woohoo!

So anyway, it's a local thing. They often offer GC to specialty shops and local restaurants for at least 50% off. The way to get the deals is to listen and call in (815-398-9765) when you hear a deal you like. If you're a first-time caller, they will get your info and give you an ID# (which you will use for future calls). Then you can either send in your check or go to their office on a weekday during business hours (you get it faster that way).

They do have "rules" such as you can only get one GC of each (but don't wait until the end of the show to call in with all your choices - some of them run out quickly!), and you can only get one per month of the same kind (i.e. we got Saturn's oil change certificate this week . . . if they offer it again next week, I can't get it. I have to wait a month).

Sorry this post is too late for this week! But listen next week to WROK 1440AM from 9 to 10 AM next week and snag some deals! And I'd like to thank Jeremy for pointing this great resource out to me! I must be rubbing off on him :)

Target is offering a $5 gift card when you purchase two. Last week's paper had $4 off coupons for packs of 28 or more, so if you have 2, you've got yourself a deal! If you only have one coupon, it's still pretty good!

Use 2 x $4 coup = ($8.00)
Total is $9.38 +$0.12 = $9.50
Plus you get a $5 gift card (making the grand total $4.50 for 2 double boxes, or $1.13 a package, or $0.0625 a piece)

Buy 2 @ $8.69 = $17.38
Use 1 x $4 coup = ($4.00)
Total is $13.38 +$0.15 = $13.53
Plus you get a $5 gift card (making the grand total $8.53 for 2 double boxes, or $2.13 a package, or $0.1185 a piece - still not bad for the new fangled product!)

Normally a package of regular Always ends up costing $3.99, or around $0.20 a piece.

New Month, New Coupons

Happy May Day! It's a new month and that means new coupons at Coupons.com!

There are a lot of $1.00 off coupons for cereal or any kind. Also, a $1.50 off of 2 Hidden Valley Ranch coupon (which my husband will be very excited about as he has a great love for HVR!).

These coupons are usually good through the end of the month. You can print two of each. Remember they don't always last all month so if you see it and will use it - print it!
