Kroger's Comforts Brand (and a free coupon)

As some of you know, I sometimes take surveys and I also sometimes try out products and write reviews about them. One of my favorite places to to try out products and "bzz" about them is BzzAgent.com - I've been with them a long time!

The latest thing they sent me to try was Kroger's Comforts for Baby Brand. I received wipes, sippy cups, and coupons for diapers.

I loved everything! Let me start by saying this: when our local Hilander/Kroger got bought out by Schnucks, they clearanced all the Kroger brands including Comforts for Baby Brand. I stocked up on wipes refills, fruit puff snacks, as well as veggie puff and cheese puff snacks. My daughter and I loved everything we tried (yes, I do eat some of her snacks - she likes to share!). The puffs are very flavorful (even more so than some Gerber brands I've tried), and the wipes are thick and gently on the skin.

So when I had the opportunity to join this campaign and try some more Comforts for Baby Brand products, I jumped at the chance. I find their products are as good (if not better) quality than brand name ones, and their prices are cheaper. Granted, I can find more coupons for the brand name products sometimes making for a better deal when paired with a sale - but from what I can tell, everyday price is better with Comforts Brand.

OK, if you've stuck with me this long - here's the freebie. If you are a reader that has a Kroger or affiliated store in your area (sorry Rockfordians, that doesn't include us anymore), I have a coupon for a free package of Comforts Brand diapers and five coupons for 20% off diapers, formula or wipes! First one to ask me for it gets it! Leave a comment and then email me your address so I can send you the coupons. Do it quickly though! The coupons expire March 29th!

Voilà! That's all for today. Please note that I was not compensated for this review other than the free products I received to try out. I'm a BzzAgent that likes to Bzz about products I like - all opinions are my own!

Freebie - The Very Hungry Caterpillar Preschool Pack

My almost 10 month old already love Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar board books - she loves to poke her fingers through the holes!

Here is a great educational freebie: a printable preschool pack based on the book! I downloaded it and saved it to my "educational" folder for when my daughter is older. What fun!

Tuesday Tip - Printable Cash Envelopes for Budgeting

We had a wonderful time teaching our Couponing 101 class this weekend - last I counted, we had 33 in our class! Hopefully everyone was able to take some tip away that will help them save money.

Other than we teach in our couponing class, I believe that doing a cash system or envelope system is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) way to save money. I personally have our grocery, eat out, and "fun money" all in cash each month and this helps me to stay within budget every month. Plus, there are some rare months where I have cash left over in a category and I can use it for something special!

You can go to our post here from January to read why I think this is a great system. Then, once you're excited about it, go here to Today's Nest to print out your very own Cash Envelopes! How fun!

Freelance Friday - Chronicles of Narnia in MP3

I'm excited about this free download of the complete series of the Chronicles of Narnia on MP3 . . . and thinking that when our daughter gets older, we can listen to this together (of course there are so many chapters that it will take us many months to get through all 7 books)! Or I could listen to a chapter a day while doing housework! Or I could do both. I love these books!

The easiest way to download the complete series is to follow this link

then click on the iTunes "Subscribe to this podcast" on the right hand side (see image below).

When iTunes opens up, you'll see "The Chronicles of Narnia." Click on the small arrow to the left and a "Get All" button will appear (see image below).

Click that and watch iTunes download the complete series!

Enjoy!

Thanks Money Saving Mom for bringing this to my attention!

"Adopted for Life" free audiobook

I always love seeing what ChristianAudio's free monthly download is. This month was especially exciting for me: it's Russell Moore's "Adopted for Life." I just finished reading this very book last month and I highly, highly recommend this book to everyone - whether you are adopting, have adopted, know someone who has adopted, or know nothing about adoption (that should cover everyone, right? :)

This book deals with the theological aspect of adoption as well as giving you a window into the world of someone who has adopted (I found myself nodding in agreement often). I will forewarn you: the first two chapters are quite long, but don't let that get you bogged down. It's well worth the read (or the listening ear).

So go ahead and download it today! After all, it's free - and you can listen to it while you clean the house, or ride in the car, or before going to bed. Enjoy, and tell me what you think of the book!
