Just go here and register, then upload your photos and create a book. It is very easy - it took me a little longer as this is the first time I have used their site but I just chose about 30 photos from our past month of Christmas. The process to pick your layouts and rearrange your photos was fairly easy.
It appears that this is a "paperback" book not a hardcover and it does come with advertisements which is why the books are free. However, the advertisements will be on removable pages not on pages with your pictures and according to their website "will not include anything offensive".
