I heard about Pinch-a-Penny Nook on WGSL, and so far, I'm finding it very interesting! I need some advise on printable coupons, though. I used to print them out quite regularly and use them at Walmart and Hilander. But, over the past year, both places have posted signs saying they don't take them. Walmart on E. State is especially strict about it, even though the official policy on Walmart.com says they do! And, a clerk at Hilander told me they will take them, if they meet a long list of criteria. It's all very frustrating to me. PLEASE HELP!
So glad you found us! I started out using printable coupons mostly at Walmart on E State. I stopped shoppping there in Jan of this year because I found better customer service, less hassle and lower prices after coupons elsewhere. I suggest calling the store and speaking with the actual owner/manager of that specific store. If you want to continue to shop there and use internet coupons, then that is your best bet. Ask for their policy in writing, if it is different than the one online. Let the manager know you are just trying to save everyone time and hassle when you get to the register! Some cashiers have a tendency to "write" their own rules. After you have their written policy carry it with you.
Which Hilander do you shop at? I shop at the one on Mulford near Spring Creek. They have always accepted my printable coupons with no issues. If you have a favorite Hilander you want to stick with, do the same as Walmart. I know it seems like a hassle but hopefully it will save you time and aggrivation on the rest of your trips. It also doesn't hurt getting to know and understand the managers better so you can always greet them with a friendly hello when you see them on your visits.
Sorry that was a long response to your questions and I hope it is helpful. Couponing can sometimes be a frustrating thing but stick to it - it does save you $!
