Toddler Thursday - Counting, cards & clips

It's time for Toddler Thursday! Today let's talk counting!

This is a great and easy way to work on counting and small motor skills at the same time!

You will need Numbers and Counting Flash cards - the ones with a number on the front and the objects on the back. These can be purchased at the Dollar Tree on E. State or on Alpine. We have the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ones listed here.

Next, you will need clips: either plastic coated colored paper clips, clothes pin clips or colored clothes pins clips. Check them out here. We have red, green, and blue clips that we found in the laundry aisle at the Dollar Tree. The nice thing is both these and the flash cards are in the same aisle!

Pick out whichever numbers you want to work on and have your child attach the correct number of clips to the card. The age of your toddler can determine which side of the cards you use. Make sure you have enough clips too! If your child is obsessive compulsive like mine, he wants to have the same color clips on the same cards, so we had to buy more clips!
